Michaela Di Palmo is a Board-Certified Music Therapist with undergraduate degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology, as well as a current Master of Healthcare Administration candidate. Michaela’s received her clinical training at Park Nicollet Health Partners in Minneapolis, MN where she provided music therapy services in the Burn ICU, CICU, Grief/Bereavement, Hospice, Medical Surgical unit, MICU, NICU, Neuro ICU, Rehabilitation and Oncology. Michaela moved to Boston, MA in January 2025 where she began her current position as a Music Therapist with Roman Music Therapy Services.
Outside of her role, Michaela has a deep passion for psychology research and recently published her first manuscript entitled “Correlates of Perceived Illness Severity and Terminality in Advanced Lung and Prostate Cancer” in the Journal of Pain & Symptom Management. Additionally, Michaela is involved in the International Association of Music & Medicine and Music4Pain Research Network. Outside of her professional life, Michaela enjoys spending time with her dog, Luca, and traveling.
