Billie Junget (she/her) is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who received her bachelor’s in Music Therapy with a minor in psychology from Charleston Southern University. She began her 8-month intensive Music Therapy internship in January of 2019 at Roman Music Therapy Services, gaining experience in community-based music therapy practices with a wide range of populations in both group and individual settings.

Billie has since entered the field practicing in many different settings from birth to end of life. She enjoys working with individuals and groups from all walks of life with a focus on adults with IDD. She also has experience supervising music therapy interns and practicum students. She recently has stepped into the role of Programmatic Services Trainer, spending time training music therapists at RMTS in addition to her clinical work. Billie is grateful for her journey in Music Therapy and hopes to inspire and train new music therapists joining the field.

Outside of music therapy, Billie enjoys spending time in nature, skateboarding, and making music with her friends.

Emily Hawley, MT-BC

Emily Hawley (she/her) is a 2019 graduate from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and a Minor in Psychology. Emily received her board certification in October of 2019.

As a clinician, Emily works with a wide variety of individuals and groups, while specializing in services for adolescents with an array of social and emotional needs. She thoroughly enjoys working with this population and expanding her skill-set across demographics. Emily has also enjoyed her work with adults with developmental disabilities, children with complex dual diagnosis and geriatric memory care patients. She has helped facilitate several self-care workshops and presentations on utilizing music to promote wellness in everyday life. Emily is passionate about supporting others in their journey of self-discovery and skill building to create a foundation to thrive.

In her free time, Emily loves writing and recording her own music, playing and dancing with her nieces and trying new food!

Sean FitzGerald, MT-BC

Meet Sean FitzGerald, music therapistMusic Therapist

Sean FitzGerald (he/him) graduated in May of 2021 from Temple University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy.  He completed an 8-month internship at a retirement community near Philadelphia prior to graduation that involved working with residents in dementia care and helping the community through the isolation caused by COVID-19.

Sean became board certified in August of 2021.  Sean has spent the last year, post-graduation, working in Connecticut as a music therapist.  During his time in Connecticut, Sean worked with children with multiple diagnoses, adults with developmental disabilities, teens affected by mental health issues, geriatric memory care groups and more.  Sean strives to cultivate a calm, safe space in order to allow others to express themselves and foster growth.

In his free time, Sean enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, writing music and watching TV with his cat.

Daniel DeLucia, MS, MT-BC

Daniel DeLucia (he/him) graduated with his master’s degree in music therapy from Molloy College in 2022. During his studies at Molloy, Daniel has worked with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, children and adolescents experiencing bereavement, older adults within neurologic rehabilitation and has worked virtually, providing music therapy services via Zoom. Upon graduating, he has worked as a music therapist and teacher with young children with autism.

Daniel joined the RMTS team in August of 2023 and currently serves as a music therapist in schools and communities around the Boston area as well as in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mass General Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Daniel’s clinical interests include doing music therapy research, music therapy in the medical setting, music therapy with individuals with neurological disorders, and clinical improvisation. Daniel believes that the essence of music therapy is fostering authentic and purposeful relationships that give individuals, regardless of race, culture, socio-economic status, gender and disability, the chance to release their inner child and find meaning.

Outside of music therapy, Daniel also teaches guitar and piano. He also enjoys being in nature, studying philosophy and theology, skateboarding, brewing coffee, going to cat cafe’s, writing his own music, playing jazz piano/guitar and going to live shows.

Link Bowen, MT-BC

Link Bowen (he/him) graduated from Anna Maria College in 2023 with a B.M in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. After completing his internship at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, he received his board certification in September of 2023 and joined the RMTS team shortly after.

Currently, Link serves in schools and facilities around Eastern MA. He aspires to create a fun, explorative space where all are welcome to present as they are. He believes that through joy, understanding, and authenticity, we find ourselves.

In his free time, Link enjoys playing with his cat, writing music that never sees the light of day, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends.

MacKenzie Lyons, MT-BC

MacKenzie Lyons (she/her) graduated from Nazareth University in Rochester, New York in May of 2023 with her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology. During her undergraduate program, MacKenzie studied both trumpet and voice as primaries. In February 2024, she completed her music therapy internship at Roman Music Therapy Services. During her internship, MacKenzie developed her clinical skills while working with a wide variety of clients in various settings. She is excited to continue to work for Roman Music Therapy Services part-time as the Saturday Sprouting Melodies provider.

In her free time, MacKenzie enjoys reading books, spending time with family and friends, and trying new coffee places!

Kylie Elliott, MA, MT-BC

Kylie Elliott (she/her) is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who received a dual bachelor’s from the University of Vermont in flute performance and biology along with a master’s degree in music therapy from the University of the Pacific. She completed her 8-month music therapy internship in September of 2023 at Manchester Community Music School where she worked in community-based music therapy settings, led early childhood music explorations, taught adaptive music lessons, and provided mentorship in performance groups. In her early career, Kylie has worked in rehabilitative care, skilled nursing facilities, and school-based settings, served individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and worked within a hospital.

Kylie has a strong background in music performance and scientific methods, contributing to an evidence-based perspective of music therapy practice. Her continued education includes the distinction of Neurologic Music Therapy affiliate, early childhood music lessons, and Sprouting Melodies training. As a music therapist (and music educator), Kylie practices a client-led approach while she guides clients, students, and performers toward healthy habits and growing confidence. Her philosophy is technically eclectic, involving multiple therapeutic approaches while emphasizing the neuroscientific impacts of music on the individual and group. Kylie identifies as neurodivergent and applies her experiential knowledge to her approach in working with neurodivergent individuals.

When not leading music therapy sessions, Kylie can be found performing flute in local orchestras, indoor rock climbing, and spending time outside camping, hiking, and riding her bike.

Elaine Chen, MS, MT-BC

Music Therapist

Elaine Chen (she/her) is a Music Therapist who earned her Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Molloy University in August 2024. She completed her internship at the Rebecca School in New York. It was a DIR Floor time model special needs school, where she worked with individuals aged 3 to 21 with autism and developmental delays, supporting their growth through music-centered interventions. During her fieldwork, Elaine also gained diverse clinical experience at Stony Brook Hospital’s acute psychiatric units and the Music Academy for Special Learners, providing music therapy services to individuals across a wide range of ages and needs.

Elaine’s primary instrument is the piano, and she also serves as a part-time private piano instructor. Her approach to music therapy is rooted in a client-centered, humanistic philosophy, focusing on fostering self-expression, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Outside of her professional life, Elaine enjoys cooking, shopping, hip hop dance, and exploring new places around her neighborhood.

Michaela Di Palmo, MT-BC

Michaela Di Palmo is a Board-Certified Music Therapist with undergraduate degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology, as well as a current Master of Healthcare Administration candidate. Michaela’s received her clinical training at Park Nicollet Health Partners in Minneapolis, MN where she provided music therapy services in the Burn ICU, CICU, Grief/Bereavement, Hospice, Medical Surgical unit, MICU, NICU, Neuro ICU, Rehabilitation and Oncology. Michaela moved to Boston, MA in January 2025 where she began her current position as a Music Therapist with Roman Music Therapy Services.

Outside of her role, Michaela has a deep passion for psychology research and recently published her first manuscript entitled “Correlates of Perceived Illness Severity and Terminality in Advanced Lung and Prostate Cancer” in the Journal of Pain & Symptom Management. Additionally, Michaela is involved in the International Association of Music & Medicine and Music4Pain Research Network. Outside of her professional life, Michaela enjoys spending time with her dog, Luca, and traveling.
