From music therapy experiences to speaking at a professional conference, we believe that active engagement in the community serves as a bridge to new connections, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for growth.

Music Therapy Events
For the past decade, Roman Music Therapy Services has been at the forefront of developing music therapy services that meet the needs of our clients, their families and communities. Through the years, we have added Sprouting Melodies classes, after-school recreation programs, birthday parties, corporate and community drum circles, Project Harmony Choral Showcases, library concerts, karaoke nights and even a Baby-Toddler Flash Mob concert. We refer to these programs as preventative, promotive, or universal music therapy experiences.
All of these programs (and others that we are still dreaming up) have a common thread. While not intensive therapeutic or clinical services, they meet specific needs that are uniquely filled by music therapy.
- Preventative Music Therapy services mitigate potential risk factors and provide a protective layer, building resiliency and social capital for participants.
- Promotive Music Therapy is focused on promoting expansion of skills, quality of life, or overall development of individuals, groups or communities.
- Universal Music Therapy experiences are participative, in-the-moment music-making events which entail involvement with others through active listening, singing or playing.
Structured, intentional music-making experiences have potential to create and support the development of community.

Conferences
Roman Music Therapy Services participates in several conferences throughout the year. Whether we are presenting on an area of expertise or hosting an information table or attending as a registrant, conferences are a great way to showcase our services and stay up-to-date on the latest industry news and research. It is also a chance to network with peers, colleagues and collaborators and support the organizations that work in human services.
