Board Certified Music Therapist
Sam Giunta is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island (URI) and a part of the first class of music therapists to graduate from URI. During his time at URI he was able to study a wide range of musical styles and many different music therapy approaches and techniques.
Being a part of the first class of music therapists at URI, Sam and his cohort had a unique opportunity to be leaders in the progress and expansion of their program. Sam was voted to be the URI Music Therapy Club president for its first two years of operation.
After URI, Sam completed his internship at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, working with students from ages 5-15. Sam joined the RMTS team in early July 2025 and in August of 2025 he passed his board certification exam. Sam is excited to continue his growth as a clinician at RMTS and to continue collaborating with his colleagues on future projects.
In his free time, Sam likes to listen to a wide range of podcasts, take walks, and spend time with his family.
