The Young Adult Music Therapy Group is a weekly program for individuals between the ages of 16 and 29 with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities. This group utilizes clinically based activities such as group instrument play, collaborative songwriting, and improvisation to foster the development of expressive language, enhance social skills, and form peer relationships.
Sample Goals:
- Identifying complex emotions
- Communicating/expressing complex emotions
- Identifying and utilizing expressive language
- Developing peer relationships

Location: Roman Music Therapy Services Center, 333 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA.
Cost: $260/month
We welcome family members or support staff to join participants in the group. However, this group is a good fit for participants who do not require one-on-one support in the session.
