About Us

What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is an evidence-based field in which a trained professional utilizes music to encourage engagement and facilitate growth. With therapeutic strategies, the music therapist helps individuals accomplish goals while addressing physical, emotional, cognitive and social gaps. This use of music in a therapeutic context helps clients expand their abilities and transfer the growth to other areas of their lives.

About Roman Music Therapy

Roman Music Therapy Services’ Board-Certified Music Therapists use music to transform lives, overcoming challenges with communication, understanding or socialization in children and adults. We share our Culture Creed and experiences to inspire mission-driven organizations worldwide to invest in transformative collaboration.

Our role in the world is about more than the music! It is about bringing human beings, all music makers, together. We just happen to use music in building lifelong connections to help make our world a better place.

Mission Statement

We serve others through transformative, human-centered, music-making experiences and build strong foundations that focus on connection and community. Our clients, stakeholders and staff engage in meaningful experiences that translate to all environments and relationships.

Using music to unlock closed doors, expose potential, possibilities and opportunities, we use music to transform lives, working through challenges in communication, processing or socialization. With music as a bridge, we uncover an individual’s promise. In music-making we create new connections, facilitate meaningful engagement, and provide opportunities for growth.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

We are committed to our clients, and each other, to be a space where all voices are heard and appreciated for the unique songs they bring. We continue to work toward using music as a unifying force, amplifying our belief that we can all meet in the music, harmonizing no matter where we come from or how we identify.
