Programmatic Specialist
After completing his studies at the Berklee College of Music, Owen joined the team at Roman Music Therapy Services for his music therapy internship. Now he is a staff clinician focusing on mental health treatments, with a particular interest in trauma, addiction, and personality disorders. His practice philosophy comes from a basis in meeting the recipient where they at, as well as where they’ve been, and he hopes to bring a safer and more communal world using the techniques he’ll learn here.
When Owen isn’t being a music therapist, he’s a performing and recorded drummer, playing Rock, RnB, Funk, Country, Bluegrass, Brazilian, Caribbean, and African drums. Owen is also a songwriter and vocalist in the bluegrass band “Catfish in the Sky,” with their songs being played on Sirius XM, and having won them the “Freshgrass Band Competition,” so keep an eye out for him outside of RMTS.
