Group Supervision Programs

First Thursday of each month at 12 PM EST

This group is for music therapists who are seeking supervision about their clinical practice. The participants share clinical situations that are challenging, unusual, difficult, or unresolved to the group and the group works together to find greater meaning as well as potential solutions for the situations presented. Topics can be clinical skills, dynamics within a session, working with other professionals, music therapy identity development, and more. The group will help to reduce isolation, increase self-confidence, gain ideas, and get inspired!

Fourth Thursday of each month at 9 PM EST

This group is for music therapists who are seeking supervision about their clinical practice. The participants share clinical situations that are challenging, unusual, difficult, or unresolved to the group and the group works together to find greater meaning as well as potential solutions for the situations presented. Topics can be clinical skills, dynamics within a session, working with other professionals, music therapy identity development, and more. The group will help to reduce isolation, increase self-confidence, gain ideas, and get inspired!

Third Thursday of each month at 9 PM EST

This group is for music therapists who are currently supervising other music therapists or music therapy students. The participants share supervision situations/issues that are challenging, unusual, difficult, or unresolved to the group and the group works together to find greater meaning as well as potential solutions for the situations presented. Topics can be clinical skills development, supervision dynamics, supervision group development, aiding in music therapy identity development, and more. The group will help to reduce isolation, increase self-confidence, gain ideas, and get inspired!

Second Thursday of each month at 12 PM EST

This group is for LGBTQAI+ music therapists who are seeking supervision about their clinical practice. The participants share clinical situations that are challenging, unusual, difficult, or unresolved to the group and the group works together to find greater meaning as well as potential solutions for the situations presented. Topics can be the intersection of one’s LGBTQAI+ identity with music therapy identity, clinical skills, dynamics within a session, working with other professionals, music therapy identity development, and more. The group will help to reduce isolation, increase self-confidence, gain ideas, and get inspired!

CMTE Eligibility

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will identify successes, barriers, and opportunities to develop in their clinical music therapy practice. (I.A.2-3; I.B.3,4,6-10,12-13; I.C.1-4; I.D.1-16; II.A.1-5; II.B.1-5; III.A.1,2,4,7; III.B.1-3,6-11; IV.A.1-7; IV.B.3,4,7,8,11-14,19.)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to expand professional, clinical, leadership, and advocacy skills. (1.A.4; I.B.2.; I.C.5.; I.D.2-4,17; II.C.4,5,7; III.A.2-4; III.B.4,5,8-10; IV.A.1-7; IV.B.1,2,5-8,11,17,20.)

Pre-Requisites:

  • Must be a Board Certified Music Therapist, MT-BC
  • Must be actively delivering music therapy services and/or supervising service delivery.

Course Schedule & Format:

  • One (1) 60-minute conference call scheduled once per month; rolling enrollment.

Investment Levels:

  • Bronze – One 60 minute group call each month – $70
  • Gold – One 60 minute group call + Individual Add-on call – $205

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Monthly call subscriptions require 30-days’ notice to unsubscribe from subscription participation
  • There are no refunds/credits for absences on scheduled calls.

CMTE credit eligibility requires call participation. Eligible for (3) CMTE credit per call after completing a minimum of three (3) calls in each calendar year. Credits will be issued annually. Please contact us if you need them before distribution.

Meeting of the Musical Minds: Music Therapy Supervision is approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for (3) Continuing Music therapy Education credits per quarter.  Roman Music Therapy Services, LLC, P-#118 maintains responsibility for program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria.
