For Leaders, Executives, & Boards

Where culture, connection and courageous conversations are built – through music

We’re not talking about another leadership offsite with sticky notes and a slide deck nobody opens again.

We’re talking about the room actually shifting. Leaders who arrive guarded and leave connected. Boards that stop performing alignment and start building it. Teams that remember what happened – because they felt it, not because it was on a handout.

For twenty years, Roman Music Therapy Services has used music to build trust, belonging, and social capital in the communities we serve. That same craft – the ability to read a room, meet people where they are, and move a group somewhere new – is exactly what leadership, culture, and community work require. We bring it to Leaders, Executives, and Boards of Directors.

Why Music and Why Us

Leadership development has a memory problem. People sit through the workshop, nod, and are back to old patterns by Thursday. Insight without embodiment doesn’t hold.

Music works differently. Making music together is active, present, and physiological – it primes the brain for openness, drops defenses, and creates shared experience faster and more honestly than conversation alone. It gets a leadership team past the polished version of itself and into the real one.

Every experience we design is facilitated by our seasoned executives, coaches, and/or Board Certified Music Therapists – all trained to understand human systems, group dynamics, and how people change. You don’t need to play an instrument. You don’t need to be “musical.” You need to be willing to be present with your team. We handle the rest.

This is human-centered work, pointed at the people who set the tone for everyone else.

The Work We Do

Leadership & Board Retreats

A day (or a season) designed to do what your last retreat didn’t: build genuine connection, surface the conversations that matter, and send your leaders back changed. We co-design with you – around your moment, your tensions, your goals – and facilitate experiences that reach past the agenda.

Leadership Salons

Small, recurring gatherings for leaders who carry a lot and rarely get to set it down. Part reflection, part community, part restoration – a protected space to think out loud with peers, guided by facilitators who know how to hold it. For leadership teams, cohorts, and cross-organization groups.

Coaching & Mentorship

Founders, executives, and leaders are all navigating growth, complexity, transition, and questions of what comes next. Coaching creates space to step outside the demands of day-to-day leadership, challenge assumptions, explore new possibilities, and make decisions with greater clarity and intention.

Manager & Leader Development

The people between the front line and the top carry the culture – and burn out first. We build their capacity to support their teams, name what’s hard, and lead through pressure without running on empty. (An extension of our Staff Beats® work, designed for leaders across your organization.)

Employee Resource Groups & Affinity Groups

Belonging isn’t a poster in the break room – it’s built, in real moments, together. We help ERGs and Affinity communities create the kind of connection that makes people stay, contribute, and bring their whole selves to work.

Organizational Design & Assessment

Strong organizations build on what’s already working, while also uncovering what’s not. Through a strengths-based assessment, we look across people, programs, structures, and resources to identify assets, gaps, and opportunities for greater alignment with your mission. The result is a clearer picture of your organization and an actionable path toward a stronger, more intentional system of care.
